Greenleaf Street
2025 short film
"Greenleaf Street" is an experimental film about the speed at which memories can fade away. This project incorporates footage from a camcorder that my sister and I shared during our childhood. My last visit to the U.S. marked the final time I stepped into my childhood home, where I spent the majority of my life. Within the packing of old things, I found this camcorder and the little home tours my sister would make on it, none of which she remembered. Since moving away, I’ve felt the details of life there slipping from me with unsettling ease. The small things that once defined our space. I wanted this film to capture the clutter, confusion, and chaos of going back home and being bombarded with a mix of emotions, rather than distinct, clear memories. I want to remember it honestly, as it was. But I know that is impossible, I will never again feel what I felt within those walls.
